The Lyons Firefighters hold their annual Chili Cook-off the first Saturday in October. It includes a Bazaar and Cruise-In. This year, the date to remember is October 1, 2011. Be sure to come check out all the great tasting chili and events. All proceeds go to the Lyons Firefighters Association to purchase or update needed equipment.
The 5th Annual Chili Cook-off was a great sucess! There was lots of fun to be had by all, which included Fire truck rides for the kids with a donation of non perishable food for the Lyons Fire Department's Christmas Food and Toy drive. Local car owners and members of car clubs filled the parking lots with their great looking cars for everyone to enjoy. Vendors inside gave people the opportunity to shop for unique gifts. Life Flight made a special appearance giving the public a chance to check out the helicopter up close. Thanks to all who attended and participated! Check out a few photos from 2009! |
