This program was initiated to help our neighbors in their time of need. In subscribing to this program, for a small annual fee of $50.00 per year, you will receive emergency ambulance services at no additional charge. In return, your membership fee will help us to raise needed funds to pay for such things as supplies, equipment, training and personnel. By helping each other, in this way, we are able to provide the highest level of emergency care and equipment to you, your neighbors, & visitors in the Santiam Canyon.  Also, you’ll have the benefit of FireMed services in many other areas of Oregon. The programs, in these areas, are similar to our own but may have some differences. If you need services in these areas, your FireMed program will entitle you to the benefits of their
FireMed program. Rest assured you’ll be pleased with their benefits, as well!

Coverage is for an entire year ending June 30th. The enrollment period is during the months of May & June. The fee remains the same anytime of year. So, your best bet is to sign up early - by the end of June!  Enrollment is limited to residents in the Lyons Ambulance Service Area. This agreement covers transports only by the Lyons Ambulance in its service area.

Membership covers everyone living in your household!

We will continue to bill your insurance for you and will accept their payment as payment in full for services rendered. Prepayment of membership takes care of deductibles, co-pays etc. All services must be medically necessary, is an appropriate use of an ambulance service and/or authorized by a doctor if it is a nonemergency trip. Appropriate use of an ambulance would not include non-emergency transfers where other means of transportation is available.

Lyons FireMed is NOT insurance. It is a fundraising membership program that allows its members the benefit of prepaid deductibles and co-pays.
